The Eiffel Tower in Paris attracts visitors with a new suspension bridge. At a height of 60 meters, those with a head for heights can cross the famous attraction between the east and west towers. Tourists and locals walk along a kind of net made of robust ropes for a total of around 40 meters, including a slight wobble. The new attraction is scheduled to be installed on the first floor of the monument by May 3rd.
On the first day, a long queue of people wanting to try something formed in the afternoon. Some of them also came from abroad. If you want to cross the bridge, you don’t have to pay anything extra. However, you must register directly at the bridge.
The Eiffel Tower is one of the most popular attractions in France. Last year almost seven million people walked the monument. Almost ten million visitors came to the square below the tower, which is accessible free of charge. The more than 130-year-old tower not far from the Seine was built for the Paris World Exhibition and completed in 1889.
