Ilya Yashin announced the creation of a new party, it will operate outside of Russia

The politician talks about integration into European institutions. “Then we will conduct dialogue with Europe no longer as private individuals, but as representatives of a party recognized by Europeans, which has become part of the political system of the European Union,” Novaya Gazeta quotes him.

“The creation of an independent party, albeit abroad, is a clear signal to Russian society, a signal to all our like-minded people. We raise the banner and openly declare that there is a political and organized association of people that sets itself the task of coming to power in Russia,” says Yashin.

He compared the current situation with the end of the 19th century, when parties created by emigrants were outside the Russian legal framework and were persecuted by the secret police. However, after the fall of the tsarist regime, many of them took part in the elections of the Constituent Assembly.

The organizing committee of the new political force has already been formed, but Yashin did not name its participants. The founding congress is planned to be held in the summer of 2026.
