Iran, three young people executed for protests against the regime

In Iran three young men convicted of themurder of police officersand for conducting “operations in favor of the United States and Israel” during theprotests earlier this year.

These are the first onesexecutions of protestersofficially announced in relation to the protests that broke out in Iran at the end of December against the increase incost of living; the demonstrations then transformed in January into protests against theIslamic Republic.

In Iran the executions of three young protesters

“Three individuals convicted forprotest by Dey(January in the Persian calendar), on the charge ofhomocideand operational actions in favor ofZionist regimeand the United States, were hanged this morning,” the judiciary’s website readsScales Online.

The young people were involved in the murder of two law enforcement officers, the agency said, adding that their execution took place after they were found guilty ofcapital crime of “moharebeh”or “war against God”.Mehdi Ghasemi, Saleh Mohammadi and Saeed Davoudiwere executed atQomthis morning “in the presence of a group of people”, underlines Mizan.

Amnesty International’s complaint

Amnesty Internationalpreviously, announced that it had gathered information on at least30 peopleincluding two seventeen-year-olds, tried and sentenced to death following therepression of the January protests. One of the defendants cited byONGit was his own eraSaleh Mohammadiaged 18, executed today.

“These three protesters were sentenced to death in January with aunfair process basato su confessions extracted under torture“, reported Mahmood Amiry Moghaddam, director ofIran Human Rightsbased in Norway.

The organization for thehuman rights in Iranraised the alarm about a new onewave of executions of protesters and political prisonersexpressing “deep concern for themass executionsof demonstrators and political prisoners in the shadow of war”.

The authorities ofIslamic Republicthey claim that theprotestswhich began at the end of December as peaceful demonstrations, then turned into “clashes instigated from abroad” con murdersand acts ofvandalism contro law enforcement agenciesand places of worship.

The numbers of repression in Iran

Teheranhe recognized that beyond3,000 people diedduring the riots, including members of thesecurity forcesand innocent bystanders, attributing the violence to “terrorist acts“.

The organizationHuman Rights Activists News Agency (Hrana)however, recorded further7,000 deathsthe vast majority of them protesters, warning that thedeath tollit could be much higher.
