Three participants in opposition demonstrations executed in Iran

Iran has executed three participants in January opposition demonstrations who were found guilty of killing two police officers. They were found guilty of murder, “waging war against Allah” and acting in the interests of Israel and the United States.

The latest opposition protests have become one of the most powerful in the history of the Islamic Republic. Initially, their participants protested against the worsening economic crisis, but quickly put forward political slogans, calling for the overthrow of the ayatollahs’ regime.

The demonstrations were drowned in blood. The number of deaths during their suppression exceeded 30,000 people. The United States called regime change one of the goals of the current operation in Iran. This goal is unlikely to be achieved, but the strikes have significantly weakened the Islamic Republic, making it more difficult to combat new popular uprisings.
