Nvidia releases ‘OpenClaw secure version’

“For CEOs, the question is: what is your OpenClaw strategy?”, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said on stage at the GTC 2026 event, taking place in San Jose, California early on the morning of March 17 (Hanoi time). “We need it. We all have a strategy for Linux, HTTP, HTML… the platforms that started the Internet, or Kubernetes that enabled mobile cloud computing. Today, every company in the world needs an OpenClaw strategy, an agent system strategy.”

He emphasized that Nvidia is ready to deliver that strategy through NemoClaw with enterprise-level security – something OpenClaw does not yet do. Users can use any programming agent or open AI model, including Nvidia’s NemoTron, to build and deploy AI agents, allowing cloud-based models to be accessed locally, hardware-agnostic, even without running on Nvidia GPUs. The system also integrates with NeMo, Nvidia’s AI agent software suite, to increase enterprise-class processing power.

NemoClaw is “alpha software”, meaning it is in the early stages of development. “We aim to build a test orchestration system that is production ready, starting with getting your own enterprise environment up and running,” Nvidia wrote on its website.

OpenClaw is now attracting global attention. This free platform allows users to create AI agents, meaning systems that can perform tasks automatically without the need for human intervention. Technically, OpenClaw acts as a bridge between today’s powerful AI models such as Anthropic Claude or OpenAI GPT with the actual tasks that people really want AI to perform. After setting up the agent on a computer or through a virtual provider, users can compose a text or WhatsApp message to the AI, instructing it to perform various tasks without direct human intervention.

The project was developed by engineer Peter Steinberger in November 2025, initially named Clawdbot. According to Jensen Huang, Nvidia collaborated with Steinberger to develop NemoClaw, although this person has now joined OpenAI.

One of the largest markets for OpenClaw is China, when thousands of people install this AI on their computers or line up to attend events to experience it. However, the fever quickly reversed when security warnings appeared from the country’s government, schools and experts.

Theo Bloombergon March 10, the China National Computer Network Emergency Response Coordination Center (CNCERT/CC) warned that improper installation and use of OpenClaw could expose users to cybersecurity risks. On the same day, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology warned that default or incorrect OpenClaw configurations could make the system vulnerable to cyber attacks or data leaks. On March 13, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology launched an initiative to develop standards for “claw” agents like OpenClaw with the goal of “addressing their lack of transparency in decision-making processes.”

Building enterprise-level AI agent platforms has become a trend in the field of applied artificial intelligence. In February, OpenAI launched Frontier, an open platform that helps businesses build and manage AI Agents. Late last year, research company Gartner predicted that the governance platform for AI agents would be an important and necessary infrastructure to help businesses apply AI technology quickly.

At GTC 2026, Nvidia also launched a new Vera CPU with twice the performance and 50% faster speed than CPUs operating on traditional supercomputers today. The company says the new CPU is built for the era of agent-based artificial intelligence and reinforcement learning, allowing businesses to create “AI factories” capable of scaling agent artificial intelligence at scale, delivering single-threaded performance and high bandwidth per core.

Nvidia expects Blackwell and upcoming Vera Rubin AI chip orders to reach $1,000 billion by 2027. According to Mr. Huang, demand is “exploding” from both large corporations and startups. Previously, the company set a revenue target of 500 billion USD from these two types of chips.

Vera Rubin will be available on the market later this year. The system is made up of 1.3 million components, delivering 10 times more performance per watt than its predecessor, Grace Blackwell. According to CNBCthis is considered a significant development, when energy consumption is one of the difficult problems for building artificial intelligence systems.

Also at the event, Mr. Huang announced the Groq 3 language processor (LPU), the first chip using technology from Groq – the semiconductor startup acquired by the company for $20 billion late last year. It is expected that the product will be shipped in the third quarter of 2026.

Nvidia Groq 3 has optimized cores for GPU acceleration. A Groq 3 LPX rack will hold 256 LPUs, designed to sit next to a large-frame Vera Rubin system, which can increase the new GPU’s token performance per watt by a factor of 35. “We merged two very different processors, one for high throughput, one for low latency,” Huang said. “Of course, that doesn’t change the fact that we need a lot of memory. So our approach is to add a lot of Groq chips, thereby expanding memory capacity.”

Also at the event, Nvidia introduced DLSS 5 with the goal of providing realistic image quality when experiencing games through the power of AI. The company says it is trained to “understand” features from game images, such as characters, fabric textures, transparent skin and environmental lighting by analyzing a single frame. DLSS 5 then creates the upscaled image, delivering real-time neural rendering, “infusing photorealistic lighting and materials into every pixel.”

DLSS 5 is available this fall with partners Bethesda, Capcom, Ubisoft and Warner Bros Games. Some of the first games that will apply the new technology are Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Resident Evil: RequiemStarfield hay The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
