Hackers of the pro-Iranian group Handala announced that they gained access to approximately 100 thousand confidential documents of Deborah Oppenheimer, the former deputy director of the Mossad’s department of external relations and cooperation and the current head of the international relations department at the Israel National Security Institute (INSS).
It is unclear how sensitive the information obtained by hackers is. The documents posted in the public domain relate to budgets for 2023-2024 and media planning.
INSS has not yet commented on the hacking report.
The page for contacting Deborah Oppenheimer shows a “404 error”.
Note that Handala is a well-known hacker group; the giant medtech corporation Stryker recently suffered from their actions.
