Apple earned almost $900 million thanks to generative AI applications in 2025

Apple has generated some revenues of almost 900 million dollars (approximately 777.6 million euros) thanks to the artificial intelligence applications (IA) generative hosted in its App Store in 2025, according to an AppMagic report collected by The Wall Street Journal.

Within these incomes, the analysis indicates that three quarters come from ChatGPTfollowed by Grok with 5 percent. Los Profits generated through these tripled when passing the 35 million dollars (30.2 million euros) in January to a maximum of 101 million dollars (87.2 million euros) in August.

However, since then there has been a decrease in earned incomepartly due to the drop in ChatGPT downloads following OpenAI’s agreement with the Pentagon to implement its artificial intelligence models.

The almost 900 million dollars that Apple has earned thanks to generative AI applications during the last year represent a small percentage of its total profits, but they serve to offset the disadvantages of the Cupertino company in the field of artificial intelligencesince it does not have its own advanced model.

Apple is betting on its collaboration with Google to incorporate the Gemini models and their cloud technology to power Apple Intelligence features and renewed version of Siriwhich continues to delay its arrival.

Regarding Apple’s forecasts, The Wall Street Journal predicts that exceeds 1 billion dollars (863.7 million euros) thanks to artificial intelligence.
