Trump said negotiations have begun with Iran to end the war

“I am pleased to report that the United States and the State of Iran have held good and productive negotiations over the past two days aimed at leading to a complete cessation of our military activities in the Middle East,” he writes, using only capital letters.

It is unclear whether the Israeli leadership was aware of these negotiations. Representatives of the Jewish state expressed fears that the decision to end the war could be made by Trump on his own. Let us recall that the 12-day war in June 2025 ended by decision of the US President, when Israel was not confident in achieving its goals.
