The Ministry of Finance demands that the summer holidays be shortened: the time missed must be compensated

According to the Kan news service, the demands intensified amid complaints about the quality of distance learning and the agreement of the all-Israel parent committee that the education system remain closed until the end of Passover.

The Ministry of Finance requires that teachers and educators not work remotely, and missed workdays be compensated by shortening the summer holidays. The PTA says online learning is ineffective: 70% of parents say online learning is unsuccessful and riddled with constant glitches.

The Parents Committee points out that the education system actually went on the Passover holidays a long time ago, and it would be more correct to return the missed days through the summer holidays. Earlier, Education Minister Yoav Kish admitted that the possibility of shortening the summer holidays is indeed being considered, but the Ministry of Finance demands that this decision be made today.
