Arson of Jewish ambulances in London: police are investigating the Iranian trail

British police at this stage do not classify the arson of four ambulances belonging to the Jewish volunteer rescue service Hatzolah Northwest as a terrorist attack. According to the official version, this is an anti-Semitic attack motivated by hatred. However, the investigation into the crime has been transferred to the counter-terrorism unit.

“We are following up on all avenues, including a claim of responsibility posted online by an Islamist group with a history of attacks in Europe and potential links to the Iranian state,” London police chief Mark Rowley said.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer met with representatives of the kingdom’s Jewish community. “Anti-Semitism has no place in our society. It is vital that we stand together in times like these,” he said, calling the arson a horrific attack.

The arson was committed on the night of March 23 in the London area of ​​Golders Green, where many Jews live. Surveillance cameras recorded how three masked people approached one of the cars and set it on fire. As a result, the fire engulfed several cars parked near the Machzikei Ha-Dat synagogue.
