Pedro Martínez renews with Valencia Basket until 2028

Valencia Basket announced this Wednesday the extension of the contract of its coach, Pedro Martínez, for one more season, so the Catalan coach will continue to lead the ‘Taronja’ men’s first team until the end of the 2027-28 campaign.

Pedro Martínez is currently facing his fourth season on the Valencian bench in his second stage in the ‘taronja’ entity, which highlights that during this season he has become the coach with the most victories and the most games coached in the history of the men’s first team, with a total of 184 wins in 251 games.

In addition, Martínez has also established himself as the only coach who has won more than one title with the Valencian team, after adding the 2025 Endesa Super Cup to the historic Endesa League championship achieved in the 2016-17 season.

In a statement, the team highlights the team’s performance this season, in which it has established new records for total victories and wins at home in the Euroleague, to which they returned this season and still with several games left to play in the Regular Phase, before facing the decisive stretch of the season.

In global terms, Martínez’s balance as head of Valencia Basket is 184 wins and 67 losses, which represents a 73.3 percent win rate, the highest percentage achieved by a coach in the club’s history.
