Iranian Tasnim Agency: Tehran conveyed an official response to American proposals

The Iranian Tasnim agency, citing an informed source, reported that on March 25, Tehran, through intermediaries, sent the United States an official response to the 15-point proposal and is awaiting a response from Washington.

In its response, Iran put forward a number of conditions: a complete cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including allied resistance groups in the region, payment of compensation to Iran for damage caused, the creation of guarantees of non-resumption of war, and the preservation of Iranian sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.

At the same time, the source expressed deep skepticism regarding Washington’s intentions, calling American statements about the negotiations “a deception.”

According to the source, the United States is pursuing three goals: to create the appearance of peace on the world stage, to maintain oil prices and to gain time to prepare for a new round of hostilities. “Last time, the Americans started a war during negotiations, and this time they are trying to prepare the ground for a new offensive,” the agency’s interlocutor emphasized, adding that after the start of the war, Tehran’s doubts about the true intentions of the United States finally disappeared.
