Iran claims: Israel dropped explosive charges disguised as tuna cans in Shiraz

Iran claims that during an attack attributed to Israel and the United States in a residential area in Shiraz, camouflaged charges similar to cans and tuna cans were dropped from the air, which reportedly caused deaths and injuries.

According to the version published in Iran, the charges were described as “ready-made” explosive packages that are slightly larger than tuna cans, and which allegedly explode after being opened or touched. In Tasnim it was reported that the authorities called on the residents not to approach suspicious objects or touch them, and instead to report their exact location to the security forces. The reports also claim that some of the packages were dropped in the skies of the southern suburbs of Shiraz, and in particular in the countryside, and that several were killed as a result.

According to reports in Iran, the event in Shiraz is presented as a sort of local version of “Operation Beepers” – this time using cargoes disguised as tin cans and tuna cans. However, at this time, no official confirmation from Israel or the United States has been published for these claims, and they cannot be independently verified.
