Missile fragment hits car in Kafr Qassem

Air raid sirens and explosions rang out in various areas of Israel, following the launch of numerous missiles by Iran.

According to Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency service, seven people have been injured by falling shrapnel since the first rocket attack was detected in the morning.

The military said it detected seven waves of incoming missiles throughout the day, setting off sirens in central Israel, Jerusalem, Haifa and parts of the occupied West Bank.

A spokesman for Magen David Adom said several houses were damaged in the central town of Kafr Qassem. Mayor Haitham Taha said the damage was caused by cluster munitions.

Magen David Adom reported that six people were injured in Kafr Qassem and one in Tel Aviv.

AFP images showed a large crater at the impact site in Kafr Qassem, as well as several cars overturned by the explosion.
