Oleg Deripaska: “Russia is in a deep crisis, we need to work 12 hours a day”

“Since this year, the world has become different. For everyone, not only for our country. This is no longer an economic crisis due to strict monetary policy, bank rates and the vain strengthening of the ruble by Central Bank macroeconomists,” writes Deripaska.

“And not only the consequence of the destruction by the security forces of the legal institutions on which, as a foundation, investments in the Russian economy – both national and foreign – rested. This crisis is deeper. It is caused by a difficult transformation: from the global opportunities that we had – to regional ones, with all sorts of restrictions,” he believes.

“But we still have to go this path, and preferably as quickly as possible. I agree, we don’t have many resources. More precisely, only one, and it is connected with our national peculiarity: in difficult moments we know how to pull ourselves together and work harder,” says the oligarch.

According to him, in order to quickly go through this transformation, it is necessary to switch to a new schedule – from eight in the morning to eight in the evening, including Saturdays. “I know several dozen people who, when they started living according to this schedule in the nineties, never left it… Well, it will be easier for them than for others,” he adds.

Let us note that Deripaska, according to Western media publications, supported President Vladimir Putin’s proposal to Russian entrepreneurs for voluntary donations to conduct a “special military operation.”
