Closer to London, Ita Airways flights to Heathrow resume

The first flight of Ita Airways per Rome Fiumicino and Heathrow. For the Italian airline of reference this is a welcome return to the main one UK hubwhich will from today be connected to Rome Fiumicino and which further enriches the connectivity of Ita Airways.

The connection to and from British capital will be operated with two daily frequenciesdesigned to guarantee passengers maximum comfort flexibility and convenience when traveling, at the following times (expressed in local time): from Rome Fiumicino to London Heathrowfirst flight departing at 7.50am and arriving at 9.40am, second flight departing at 1.50pm and arriving at 3.40pm; from London Heathrow to Rome Fiumicinofirst flight departing at 10.30am and arriving at 2.10pm, second flight departing at 4.30pm and arriving at 8.10pm.

Collaboration with Lufthansa and additional connections

The resumption of flights from the airport busiest in Europe as well as more connected to the world was possible thanks to the collaboration with Lufthansawhich made the necessary items available for Ita Airways airport slots. The connections between the British capital and Milan Linate will continue to be operated at the airport London City.

Summer 2026 news and new destinations

The return to Heathrow is one of the most important news of Summer 2026in which Ita Airways will operate a total of 72 destinations of which 19 national, 36 international and 17 intercontinental, including 12 seasonal destinations (3 national and 9 international) to the Italian, Greek and Spanish islands. From the 1 maggio 2026 the new one will also start intercontinental flight to Houstonin the United States. This is the first direct connection in the history between Rome Fiumicino and the Texan cityoperated with three weekly flights, which will increase to five from June.
