Worth hundreds of millions of NIS: HP Indigo closed the largest deal in its history

The HP Indigo company, which develops and manufactures advanced digital printing technology in Nes Ziona and Kiryat Gat, has signed a huge deal with the Shutterfly company, the biggest deal in its history, amounting to hundreds of millions of shekels.

This is an achievement on a global scale, especially since the deal was made in the middle of the war. The buyer is one of the leading companies in the USA in the field of personalized printing and photography products.

The deal was supposed to be signed during a visit of Shutterfly executives to Israel, but the visit was postponed due to the security situation. The deal joins the giant deal with ePac, which the company announced earlier this year, and highlights the sequence of significant transactions.

As part of the agreement, Shutterfly will upgrade its inventory of B2 format industrial printing presses to the fifth and most advanced K120 model. The machine enables a continuous industrial pattern, with increased capacity, improved productivity and operational efficiency. The deal includes the purchase of machinery, consumables and services in the next three years.

The two companies have been cooperating for the past 25 years. HP Indigo leads the global digital printing industry with 70% of the market share, and operates over 7,500 printing presses in more than 115 countries. It is responsible for about 0.5% of GDP and about 2% of high-tech exports and employs over 2,000 people.

Noam Zilberstein, CEO of the company: “When a customer of Shutterfly’s scope chooses to upgrade to our newest generation, it reflects the direction of the market as well as the commitment of our customers to change the industry together with us. The fact that deals of this scale are signed precisely during combat days emphasizes the resilience of the Israeli industry.”
