The Israeli Ministry of Defense has stopped all contacts with French companies

The decision was made as part of the ministry’s larger effort to reduce contracts with states that take hostile actions against Israel. Instead of French purchases, the ministry will switch to domestic production and purchase of equipment from states recognized as friendly.

The move followed a series of French actions since the start of the war that were perceived as hostile in Jerusalem. Paris banned the participation of Israeli representatives in defense exhibitions and conferences on its territory, and also supported the call for an arms embargo against Israel.

The cessation of purchases is part of a large-scale policy pursued by the Minister of Defense and the head of the Ministry to expand the base of domestic defense production.

That almost all of Israel’s arms imports come from two countries – the USA and Germany, while other countries account for about 1% of imports. It is not reported which French deliveries we are talking about. It is possible that we are talking about dual-use goods.
