Green asparagus, foie gras, pollack and roast cauliflower, oysters, Périgord poultry… For an eight-course lunch menu, served at Vieux Logis, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Trémoulat, in the Dordogne, it will only cost 56 euros for the youngest customers, instead of 80 euros. “A bit of a crazy bet,” admits the chef of the Michelin-awarded establishment, who wanted to attract people “in the face of too quiet attendance and an aging clientele,” like eleven other restaurants* in Dordogne, “so that young people can push the door and have a first experience, in a slightly different establishment. »

“We hope to retain young people”

Michelin-starred, Bib gourmand and gourmet restaurants, spread throughout the department, have launched the “30% off for under-thirties, for thirty days” operation, for the entire month of April, with the exception of the Easter weekend. “We will have almost no margin, we will work for nothing but we hope to retain young people! » assures the chef, who also counts on the consumption of drinks, not included in the discount.

“A financial effort which will perhaps encourage curiosity, a culinary change,” greets the maître d’ at l’Imparfait in Bergerac. Barely launched, the initiative benefited “11 out of 50 guests on April 1, including a father who came with his three children and a young couple aged 25”, rejoiced this Thursday, April 2, Hervé Battiston, the chef of l’Imparfait who honors, in his menu, “morels and asparagus, local and in season”, happy “to see young people at the restaurant again. »
