Ten reasons why the hearing flight that left at night is significant

Hearing flight Artemis II is also progressing over the Easter holidays.

The flight took off into space on Thursday morning Finnish time. In the nose of the lunar rocket was the spacecraft Orion, which was taken into orbit around the Earth on Friday. From there, the plan is to go around the Moon.

On the way, the astronauts, among other things, photograph the Moon from new angles and new regions. It is the first time in more than 50 years that a person has traveled close to the Moon.

More people are now flying to the moon at one time than ever before in the history of hearings. There are four astronauts on board: the commander Reid Wisemana pilot Victor Glover and astronauts Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen.

Orion travels a total of about 1.1 million kilometers from Earth around the Moon and back to Earth.

If everything goes well, the return trip to the Moon will take place in ten days.

Why astronauts are then taken near the moon? People have already been near the Moon or on its surface six times between 1968 and 1972. So there has been a break of decades in between.

In the list below, you will find reasons why hearing loss is important.

• Equality. A woman, Christina Koch, and a person of color, Victor Glover, travel to the moon for the first time. In the past, only fair-skinned men have visited the Moon. Almost everyone has a background in the US military.

• You have. Just ask the Canadians! Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen is aboard Orion. He is the first person from outside the United States to fly around the moon.

• More is better? More people are now flying to the moon at one time (four) than ever before in the history of hearings.

• Far from home. According to the plans, Orion will fly farther than any ship with a human on board. Near the moon, we have already reached about a light second from Earth. However, distances in space are measured in light years.

• Technique. The fastest and best small computer of its time was sent to the surface of the moon in 1969 in the lunar module of Apollo 11. Now one goal is to test different techniques for future hearings. What new things are we creating for hot trips?

• Science. We can get more information about the geology of the Moon and at the same time about the birth of our own Earth. The Earth and the Moon were born at the same time, more than 4.5 billion years ago.

• Helium–3. The raw material for future fusion power. There is a lot of it on the surface of the Moon.

• Symboliarvo. In the rivalry between the great powers, going close to the Moon is a good reason to be great. The moon has enigmatic symbolism. Therefore, apparently, nothing can stop the rush there in the future.

• Tension. Fascinating to see how the hot trips progress and how the astronauts are doing.

• 53 years. Isn’t a break of about two generations too long? Many elderly people in the world remember, perhaps wistfully, the Apollo auditions of the 1960s. While you can remember your own childhood or youth.
