In his blue quilted jacket, Sébastien Andries walks around his farm in Killem, in the North. He opens the door to his hangar wide, it closes behind him, slamming because of the wind. Here, 200 tonnes of potatoes lie dormant waiting to be cleared. This year, the farmer is suffering a crisis of overproduction.

“There is no market,” he laments. Like him, many professionals throughout France find themselves with significant quantities of tubers on their arms. “My contracts will guarantee me the costs that I have incurred… But with these 200 tonnes, I lose my margin. »
