President Sergio Mattarella at the Barbera stadium for Palermo-Avellino

Celebrated return today to the “Renzo Barbera” Stadium in Palermo, for the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarellaon the occasion of the Palermo-Avellino race. “The president took advantage of the Easter holidays in Palermo to renew the bond with the Rosanero Club”, states the Viale del Fante club.

“A welcome return to the Stadium today for the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella – we read on the Palermo FC social media – who for the second time, after Palermo-Frosinone last August, wanted to be present at the Barbera, this time on the occasion of the match between Palermo and Avellino. The President took advantage of the Easter holidays in Palermo to renew the bond with the Rosanero Club, which began three years ago with the historic visit to the Palermo Museum”.

The Head of State was welcomed in the VIP gallery, alongside the Rosanero president Dario Mirri and the mayor Roberto Lagalla who had welcomed him outside the facility. The fans gave affectionate applause at the “Barbera” where Palermo led by Pippo Inzaghi is heading towards a difficult conquest of a place in Serie A.
