Paris: Five Guys arrives on this fashionable street in the Bastille district

The new fashionable street? The American fast-food chain Five Guys has been working for several weeks to install a new restaurant on rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine, in the Bastille district, in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. This will be its eleventh in the capital, ten years after the opening of its first establishment in France in Bercy Village.

For this new restaurant, Five Guys found a prime location, a few steps from Place de la Bastille. The brand is taking over the premises of the American ready-to-wear brand Volcom, right next to the MK2 cinema.

An opening planned for June

Questioned by Le Parisien, Five Guys indicates that this restaurant will have an area of ​​350 m2, including nearly 200 m2 accessible to customers. “We will be able to accommodate 68 people in the room,” continues the brand. Around thirty people must be recruited.

Construction officially began on January 12 and is scheduled to last until the end of May. The opening to the public is scheduled for June 1, 2026.

This restaurant will be the brand’s 11th in the capital. Until then, there were ten of them, mainly in the tourist districts: the Champs-Élysées, Les Halles, République, Gare du Nord, Place de Clichy, Blanche, Haussmann, Chaussée-d’Antin, Opéra/Capucines and therefore the one located within Bercy Village (the first Five Guys in France, opened in 2016). The brand has also spread throughout the country, in large cities and in the suburbs – there are 19 in Île-de-France.

Rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine thus confirms its place as an essential street in the Parisian commercial fabric. It is this same avenue which recently attracted, for their first establishment in France, the British Asian restaurant chain Chopstix, the fried chicken specialist Wingstop or the legendary pizzeria Da Michele. The Japanese Uniqlo opened a large store there, as did the Chinese Miniso more recently.
