Investor, don’t mess around – Lock in juicy dividends with this important information

April is the busiest of the spring dividend months, and there is still time to participate in many juicy dividends. However, it’s good to keep a few important days in mind, editor Saku Arjanmaa told Kauppalehti live In the Talousamau program on Tuesday.

Dividends are associated with three important days: release, reconciliation and payment date.

“Two of these are actually important for investors: the exit date and the payment date,” Arjanmaa said.

On the ex-dividend date, the dividend is ex-divided from the share.

“The investor must have bought a share before the exit date in order to participate in the dividends,” Arjanmaa opened.

On the reconciliation date, the company checks who owned the shares before the dividend was declared.

“The payment date is the day when the dividend is credited to the investor’s account,” Arjanmaa said.
