By order of the Revolutionary Guards: hundreds gather around the power plants in Iran

“I invite all young people, people of culture and art and athletes to the national campaign ‘Human chain of the youth of Iran for a bright future’,” wrote Alireza Rahimi, an Iranian deputy minister, on Network X, adding: “We will stand hand in hand next to the power plants in the country to say: attacking public infrastructure is a war crime.”

The Iranian initiative comes after Trump threatened to destroy all power plants in Iran if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened. “We have a plan according to which every bridge in Iran will be destroyed and every power plant will be bombed by 12 at night. It will happen within 4 hours if we want,” the president declared yesterday at a press conference. Earlier he declared the “Day of Power Plants” in Iran – if his demands are not met.

Meanwhile, senior Iranian officials commented on the negotiations, telling the Reuters news agency thatPakistan continues to send messages, “but the tone of the US has not changed.” According to the officials, “there is no negotiation with the US, which wants Iran to collapse under the pressure. We will show flexibility after we see flexibility from the US.”

They added that the US wants the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, but “Iran will not open it in exchange for empty promises.” They referred to Trump’s threat, saying: “If the US attacks Iran’s power plants – Saudi Arabia andThe whole area will fall into total darkness.”
