OpenAI launches a ‘Pro’ subscription for ChatGPT for more than 100 euros per month

OpenAI announced this Thursday a new subscription plan to its ‘chatbot’ powered by artificial intelligence (AI), ChatGPTfor a price that amounts to 103 euros (100 dollars) monthly.

Sam Altman’s company has launched this new subscription for those users who rely on AI to perform “complex and high-stakes work,” as explained on the pricing page of their plans.

Among the features included in this plan are the Reasoning Pro with GPT-5.4 Pro, maximum Codex taskshe GPT-5.3 model and unlimited file uploads, unlimited image creation and faster, advanced research y agent mode with maximum performance, memory and context with higher performance, among others.

This new plan will coexist with the $200 variant which was already available previously. OpenAI has clarified on its website that the $100 Pro plan is designed for those who use functions such as Codex and deep research, to whom it offers limits five times higher than those of the Plus subscription and ten times more use of Codex, while the $200 Pro plan is focused on “heavy tasks”, with limits 20 times higher than those of Plus.

OpenAI has explained that with this new plan it seeks compete directly with Anthropicwhich has a $100 Max 5x subscription to its Claude chatbot. “Compared to Claude Code, Codex offers more coding capacity per dollar on all paid plans, and the difference becomes more evident during active use of coding,” an OpenAI spokesperson told TechCrunch.
