Auticon, the multinational with autistic IT consultants

Auticon Italia announces that it has officially adopted the Benefit Company model pursuant to Law no. 208/2015. A choice that reinforces what the company wants to represent: a business model in which economic and social value grow together. Auticon Italia was born in 2019 with a unique characteristic in the entrepreneurial panorama: over 80% of its human resources are made up of people on the autistic spectrum. As a Benefit Company, Auticon Italia will pursue its objectives of common benefit along three fundamental lines: offering technical and digital consultancy services with high added value in the IT sectors such as data analytics, cybersecurity and software engineering, creating qualified and stable job opportunities for neurodivergent people and promoting a cultural change in organizations through training and support for neuroinclusion, understood as a lever of innovation and competitiveness.

There are seven purposes of common benefit: work inclusion and valorisation of neurodiversity; creation of neuro-inclusive work environments; provision of quality and impactful technological services; raising awareness and spreading the culture of neuro-inclusion; people’s well-being and professional support; sustainable social and economic impact; responsibility and transparency towards stakeholders.

Present in 15 countries, Auticon is the only organization in the world where the majority of human resources are people on the autism spectrum. For years it has translated this identity into measurable impact and has just published the 2025 Impact Report – The Edge Effect: a document that demonstrates the solidity and replicability of this innovative inclusive model. The report shows that in 2025, Auticon employed a total of 494 people, 373 of whom were autistic consultants, collaborating with 287 client organizations around the world. 95% of these declared that Auticon’s autistic consultants have added concrete value to their projects, also experiencing a positive impact on the culture and performance of the teams (93%).

The individual impact is equally significant. Before joining Auticon, 60% of autistic people were unemployed or underemployed, despite 90% having a degree or high professional qualification: a paradox that reflects the contradictions of the labor market with respect to neurodiversity. In addition to IT consultancy, there is also training on neuro-inclusion: in 2025, 166 companies around the world have used it to build more inclusive environments.

The organization was originally founded in 2011 in Germany and over the years it has grown, first expanding into Europe with Italy, France, the United Kingdom and Switzerland as the first countries, it then acquired similar entities in Canada, the USA and Australia, today it has 600 employees of which 81% fall on the autistic spectrum, it is present in 15 countries across Europe, North America and Australia and has many large global companies in every sector among its clients.
