At least seven dead in new Israeli attacks in Lebanon amid the Islamabad dialogue between the US and Iran

At least seven people have died in recent hours in Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon as part of the Israeli military offensive launched on March 2 against the Hezbollah militia and which has not stopped despite the ceasefire between Iran and the United States.

It is worth remembering that this Friday, the president of the Iranian Parliament, Mohamad Baqer Qalibaf, conditioned the beginning of today’s negotiations with the United States in Islamabad, Pakistan, on the lifting of sanctions by the North American country and the extension of the truce to Lebanon.

In Kafarsr, in the Nabatiye district, four people have died, including a worker from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, and four more people have been injured, according to the official Lebanese news agency, NNA.

The Ministry of Health has issued a statement reiterating its condemnation of the succession of attacks against health personnel that it denounces as a violation of International Humanitarian Law. “These violations are being documented in international complaints to preserve the rights of those who sacrifice themselves for the humanitarian rescue service,” he warned.

On the other hand, Israeli aircraft attacked the town of Mefdún, also in Nabatiyé, at dawn and killed three people in a residential building, reports NNA.

The village of Tul Nabatiyé has also been bombed by Israeli aircraft, where several residential buildings have been destroyed. In Jebchit a private electricity generator has been bombed and in Jabaa, in the Iqlim al Tufa region, a missile has fallen but has not detonated.

Israeli attacks have also been reported in Khiam (Marjayun district), Shebaa (Hasbaya), Kafar Remán and Mansuri (Tyre), Abba (Nabatiye) and Burj Qalawié (Bint Yebeil), according to the Lebanese newspaper ‘L’Orient-Le Jour’.

The Israeli Army has also requested the “immediate” evacuation of Abbasiyé (Tyre) through telephone calls originating in Israel.

For its part, Hezbollah has announced attacks against Israeli soldiers on Lebanese soil, specifically in Shamaa (Tyre) and against towns such as Kiryat Shmona, Metula and Misgav Am using “rocket salvoes.”

Israel has confirmed a drone attack from Lebanon and the activation of air raid sirens in Arab al Aramshe and other towns in the western Galilee.
