Instagram allows you to edit comments on posts with a margin of 15 minutes

Instagram has introduced a new option for edit comments shared in other users’ posts with a 15 minute windowin order to be able to correct spelling errors or rectify the comment.

The social network owned by Meta has already implemented a similar option for edit direct messages (DM) in March 2024, which allows you to correct the text even if it has already been sent in a chat.

Now, Instagram has added the same feature but, in this case, for the comments shared in the posts of the social network’s ‘feed’, as he has shared through his official Threads account.

Specifically, users will have a 15 minute window to edit comment once it has been published, making it easier for them to correct any spelling errors, rectify the comment information or complete it with more text.

To edit comments, simply tap the ‘Edit’ option that will appear below the comment text. Once modified or rewritten, you must press the blue check button to save changes and the text will appear with the changes introduced, notifying that it has been edited.

Please note that it is only possible to edit comments that have been published under the user’s account. Likewise, the comment can be modify as many times as necessary, as long as it is within the allowed 15 minute window.
