Trump: We have begun clearing the Strait of Hormuz… and Iran’s loss is huge

US President Donald Trump confirmed on Saturday that the US military had begun clearing the Strait of Hormuz, and that all Iranian mine-laying ships had been sunk.
Trump wrote in a post on social media: “We are now beginning the process of clearing the Strait of Hormuz.”
Through his “Truth Social” platform, Trump accused the media of lying after they questioned the US Army’s achievement of its military goals in the current war against Iran. He wrote: “The fake media has completely lost its credibility, even though it did not have any in the first place. Because of their intense obsession with Trump, they claim that Iran is winning, while everyone knows that in reality it is losing, and it is losing badly.”
Trump continued: “Iran’s naval fleet, its air force, its anti-aircraft equipment, its radars, its missile and drone factories have been destroyed, in addition to the missiles and aircraft themselves, and most importantly, its leaders who ruled it for a long time are gone.”
Trump downplayed the importance of Iran’s booby-trapping of the Strait of Hormuz: “All they have left is the threat of the possibility of a ship colliding with one of their sea mines, which, by the way, all 28 of their mine-dropping boats lie on the bottom of the sea,” he said.
Trump announced that the United States is about to begin the process of clearing the Strait of Hormuz as a service to countries around the world, including China, Japan, South Korea, France, Germany, and many others. Trump accused the previous countries of lacking the courage and will to do this work.
Trump also pointed out that many empty oil ships coming from several countries are currently heading to the United States of America to supply oil.
