Putin’s accomplice was frowned upon by the people – “Trump’s maga support did not bear fruit”

In the parliamentary elections held in Hungary over the weekend, the opposition party Tisza won having ruled the country for centuries Viktor Orbánin Fidesz party.

“The right-wing maga support that Trump has given to far-right and far-right European parties did not bear fruit. The Hungarians decided otherwise,” analyzed the Brussels correspondent Karvala of Crete Directly from Kauppalehti Economic morning on Monday.

Maga comes from Trump’s slogan “Make America Great Again”.

According to Karvala, the victory of Tisza, who won the Hungarian parliamentary elections, shows that you can succeed even without the Maga idea.

“Quite a lot of people seem to be fed up with Trump’s policy of threats,” Karvala reflected.

A loan to Ukraine?

Orbán, who ruled Hungary for no less than 16 years, is known to be pro-Russian and he has wanted to cooperate with the Russian president Vladimir Putin with. This has caused gray hairs in EU decision-making. With the change of power in Hungary, the EU is now very much expecting that Ukraine will get the 90 billion euro support loan it has been longing for, Karvala estimates.

“It was once accepted by the heads of the member states, but during the elections, Orbán said that he would not accept it,” Karvala said.

He stated that even the Tiszan party, which won the elections, has a poor line on Ukraine.

“The party opposes Ukraine’s rapid convergence with the EU, but I could now imagine and believe that Hungary’s new administration will promote this loan issue, even though there are doubts about Ukraine,” said Karvala.
