An exhibition “Ten Centuries of Polish Russophobia” has been opened at the site of the Katyn massacre.

On April 10, on the eve of the Day of Remembrance of the victims of the Katyn tragedy, the exhibition “Ten Centuries of Polish Russophobia” was opened at the site of the mass execution in the Katyn Forest, which claims that the USSR was not involved in this crime.

In the spring of 1940, on the basis of a resolution of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, NKVD officers shot 21,875 Polish citizens – primarily officers, but also representatives of the intelligentsia and clergy. The Katyn Forest, located in the Smolensk region, became the main site of the massacre.

The burial was discovered by soldiers of Hitler’s army in 1943, but official Moscow for decades claimed that the Nazis were responsible for the execution, and only in 1990 did the USSR admit that the NKVD was involved in it.

However, in Putin’s Russia history is being rewritten again, and the executioners of the Stalin era are being whitewashed. The exhibition, organized by the All-Russian Military Historical Society, again places responsibility for the execution on the German occupation authorities, the Visegrad24 channel reports.

According to the exhibition, Poland was an ally of Germany during World War II – despite the fact that it continued to fight even during the occupation. Other manifestations of Russophobia include Poland’s support for Ukraine in a “special military operation” and the demolition of monuments from the Soviet period.

“The exhibition is dedicated to the history of Polish Russophobia, that is, the hatred of the elite of the Polish state in various periods of history towards Russia and the Russian people, and how this hatred manifested itself in specific actions. Namely, in the seizure of Russian territory, in the destruction of the Russian, Belarusian and Little Russian peoples,” said the scientific director of the Russian Military Historical Society, Mikhail Myagkov, thereby demonstrating his Ukrainophobia.
