This is what the siege in the Strait of Hormuz looks like

The naval blockade of the United States on Iranian ports continues, and the Wall Street Journal reported tonight (between Tuesday and Wednesday) that it is carried out using 15 warships located outside the Strait of Hormuz. The US military announced that 6 Iranian ships had to retrace their steps due to the blockade.

According to the report, placing the forces near the coast of Iran could expose American assets to attack, so the US is expected to try to intercept or blockade commercial vessels in the Arabian Sea, to prevent them from entering or leaving Iranian ports.

The warships can approach tankers that try to break through the blockade, and the American forces in the area are prepared to take control of ships that refuse the American request to turn around. So far the Americans have not taken over any ship.

The United States now has more military assets in the region than at any time since the 2003 invasion of Iraq, including helicopters, warships and fighter jets for the blockade of Iranian ports. According to the report, most of these ships have the ability to operate helicopters that support takeover operations, and some are able to direct commercial vessels to certain areas and hold them there.

The American Central Command said that on the first day of the blockade, no ship was able to pass, adding that 6 ships responded to the instructions of the American forces to retrace their steps and return to an Iranian port. According to Reuters, 6 ships that did not depart from Iran or planned to arrive there were allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
