Death toll rises to more than 2,100 and injuries to 7,000 due to Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March

The Lebanese Government has estimated this Wednesday at more than 2,100 deaths and 7,000 injuries due to attacks carried out by the Israeli Army since the beginning of March, when clashes against the Shiite militia party Hezbollah were reactivated.

The Ministry of Health has indicated in a statement that 2,167 people have died, including 172 minors, and another 7,061 have been injured, 656 of them minors, as a result of these bombings.

These figures also include 43 deaths and 140 injured in the last 24 hours, despite the fact that delegations from both countries agreed this Tuesday to continue with peace talks, during a meeting sponsored by the United States.

During the meeting, Beirut demanded that Israel respect the ceasefire reached between the two parties in November 2024, an extreme rejected by Benjamin Netanyahu’s Executive, alleging that it attacks Hezbollah infrastructure.

Likewise, Beirut has requested in the last week that the truce reached last week between the United States and Iran be extended to Lebanese territory, after more than a month of war since the offensive launched against the Asian country on February 28.
