Trump gets angry: I don’t want to extend the ceasefire with Iran

“I don’t want to do it. We don’t have that much time,” said Trump, when asked about the possibility of extending the truce.

In a post on the Truth Social network on Tuesday, Trump accused Iran of numerous ceasefire violations.

“Iran repeatedly violated the ceasefire!” wrote the American president.

Washington previously expressed confidence that talks with Iran in Pakistan would continue, while a senior Iranian official said Tehran was still considering participation.

With the prospects for further peace talks still uncertain, Trump said the US would continue attacking Iran if a deal with Tehran was not reached soon.

“We are ready for action. I mean, the army can’t wait to go,” he said.

On Tuesday, Pakistan asked both countries to extend the two-week ceasefire, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
