One tax issue Finnish investors want to leave unaddressed – “80%”

Finns are still not very good at declaring information about their cryptocurrency investments in their tax return, said a leading tax expert Tero Määtt From the tax administration directly from Kauppalehti Economic morning on Tuesday.

“The matter has been investigated over the past few years, and yes, probably 80 percent of them now want to remain unreported. That’s a surprisingly large number,” Määttä said.

“People may not understand that we already get quite a lot of information about cryptocurrencies from different marketplaces, and in the future we will get even more”, Määttä noted.

He stated that within a few years cryptos will be ready to be included in the pre-filled tax return as well.
