They ate at two restaurants in Sweden: mass sushi poisoning! Around 100 people sick

Gothenburg (Sweden) – This salmon is not at all good for around 100 people in the southwest of Sweden. After eating sushi from two local restaurants in Lerum and Floda, they all complained of bad stomach pains, suffered food poisoning and had to be treated.

This is reported by the local newspaper “Lerums Tidning”. An employee of the Environment Agency confirmed: “We currently have around a hundred reports and more are being added all the time.” Part of the processed fish may have been corrupted.

Company apologizes

The company that runs the two sushi shops has since admitted on its Facebook page: “Probably some of the last delivery of salmon was bad. That’s why we have stopped further sales. We can only regret that many of those who were with us on Saturday are sick.”

It continues: “For us, you are not just guests – you are the reason why we exist. That’s why we take everything related to health very seriously.” We are working closely with the environmental agency to deal with the incidents. The two affected restaurants in Lerum and Floda (Västra Götaland region) will remain closed until all test results are available. Finally, the Facebook entry says: “We can only regret that many who shopped with us on Saturday (April 18th, ed.) are sick. I apologize again for what happened.”
