Former midfielder leaks new Paraná Clube signing for the knockout stage

Paraná Club agreed to hire the midfielder Thiago Alves for the knockout stage of the Second Division of the Paraná Championship. Without a team since the end of the Campeonato Goiano, when he played for CRAC, the 26-year-old player was maintaining his form in Porto Alegre.

The signing of Thiago Alves was revealed in an image published by the former midfielder Guilherme Bitecowho played for Tricolor on two occasions. He posted a screenshot on Instagram of a video conversation with the new Paranista midfielder and defender and captain Salazar. The three played together during the 2020 Series B.

Thiago Alves’ first spell at Paraná Clube began in 2019 after spending time at Palmeiras’ youth team and at Grêmio Novorizontino’s professional team. The midfielder initially played for the Paraná under-23s in 2019 and for the main team in the following two years. In total, he played 47 matches, between Series B and C of the Brazilian Championship and the Campeonato Paranaense, scoring three goals and providing three assists.

After leaving the Paranista team, the player played for Fortaleza, Ferroviário-CE, Red Bull Brasil, Red Bull Bragantino, Criciúma, Náutico, Barra-SC, São Joseense, Floresta-CE and CRAC. His last match was on February 28, in the Campeonato Goiano, in CRAC’s 1-0 defeat to Jataiense.

The new midfielder should now be available to the Czech coach for the final round of the classification phase of the Second Division of the Paraná Championship against Patriotas, on Saturday (25), at 3:30 pm, at Arena da Baixada. Tricolor leads the State, with 20 points, a campaign of six wins and two draws, and only needs a draw to confirm first place.
