Norwegian biathlon legend Ole Einar Bjørndalen is trying to convince sensational skier Einar Hedegart to return to biathlon.
According to Nettavisen, Bjørndalen has made phone calls to key personnel so that the Biathlon Union would improve its offer to Hedegart.
The 24-year-old Hedegart announced on Tuesday that he will continue as a cross-country skier because he was not offered a place in the elite group.
In the 2025–2026 season, Hedegart won two World Cup competitions and three medals at the Milan–Cortina Olympics.
