These are the mother and daughter who are harassing Israelis in Vietnam

In the last week, four documents were distributed showing different cases in which Israeli tourists were harassed in Vietnam. The hypothesis was raised on social networks that these are the same women, who have already been identified as mother and daughter – well-known pro-Palestinian activists from Leeds in the UK. The Israeli embassy in Vietnam did not remain indifferent to the unusual sequence of events, and proactively contacted the local authorities: “The issue is being handled in cooperation in accordance with local law and diplomatic channels.”

In the first case, which went viral on the networks, a couple of young people were seen eating in a local restaurant while being subjected to anti-Semitic statements and accusations that they were “baby killers” and “rats”. After a few minutes in which the two did not stop teasing those they identified as Israelis, the young men had to leave the place.

In another document that quickly spread, the British encountered four Israelis and shouted at them “Fruit of Palestine”. The group continued on its way and tried to ignore it, but the two continued to harass and shout at the young men from Israel: “Baby killers, you don’t have your guns on you.”

This time too, the Israelis are not dragged into provocation and despite the harsh words and the rude harassment, they make a heart gesture with their hands towards the two, and call for peace.

In the last video that, according to the claims, was recorded by the same women, they approached the young women who were eating in the restaurant and asked them where they were from, when the two said “Israel” they immediately responded: “Fruit of Palestine”. The two ignore it and go on their way in the hope that the two will let them go, so they move to the next table and ask the people sitting where they are from and they answer “Israel”.

At that moment, the harassers start shouting at them: “Israel has no right to exist, Palestine is the best country in the world,” while asking: “How many of you have served in the IDF?” Finally, two tourists, apparently from Italy, firmly demand that the women leave the place.

Surfers from around the world claim that the mother’s name is Ozma Bashir, and the daughter’s name is Yusra Ahmed, both reportedly Pakistanis who live in Leeds, UK, and are linked to local pro-Palestinian organizations.

In another document from three days ago, in what appears to be a hotel lobby located in an area that is particularly known and loved by Israelis, two Israeli women are asked if they “killed people in the IDF”, to which they coldly reply: “The truth is no”. In this document, too, the women continue to harass the young women, who do not lose their temper, smile in response and continue on their way.

Foreign Office: “The Israeli Embassy in Vietnam is in regular contact with the local authorities and fully cooperates with them. In this case, no complaints were filed, but the issue is being handled with the authorities in accordance with the local law and diplomatic channels. There is no travel warning from the Israel Defense Forces regarding Vietnam, as of this date. Israeli travelers must take normal precautions, avoid displaying identifying marks, and in any unusual case contact the local enforcement authorities as well as inform the embassy.”
