Ice Hockey World Cup: National coach Kreis nominates Wagner, who is suspended from the DEL

However, this does not mean the end of the World Cup. National coach Harold Kreis and the DEB are waiting for the 39-year-old long-time captain to decide whether the Cologne player wants to continue or end his career.

Seven changes

Coach Kreis nominated Cologne’s Jan Luca Sennhenn, Dominik Bokk and Parker Tuomie for the third phase before the World Cup in Zurich and Freiburg from May 15th to 31st. Phillip Sinn, Wagner and Maximilian Kastner strengthen the DEB selection from Munich. Dominik Kahun (Lausanne/Switzerland) is also there. Possible NHL reinforcements are not expected until the fourth preparatory phase at the earliest.
