Atlético de Madrid has more than 160,000 members

Atlético de Madrid announced this Friday that it has surpassed the record number of 160,000 members, after adding more than 10,000 new members this season.

According to the red and white entity, among its social mass there are fans from all Spanish provinces and a total of 61 different countries, with 76% men and 24% women, the latter a percentage that, according to the club, “increases year after year.”

Furthermore, 46% of members are under 30 years old: 16% are children up to 13 years old; 30% are young people -from 14 to 30 years old-; 12% are between 31 and 40 years old, 14% between 41 and 50 years old; 16%, from 51 to 60 years old; and 12%, over 60 years old. Of them, 34% live in Madrid capital; 35%, in other municipalities of the Community of Madrid; 28%, in other Spanish provinces; and 3%, abroad.

Member number 1, the oldest, is Pedro Palmero, who registered on October 8, 1940, is 95 years old and has 85 years of uninterrupted seniority as a red-and-white member.

Atlético explained that new members who register will enjoy benefits until December 31, 2026, since the validity of the membership card is linked to the duration of the full calendar year and not to the sports season.

Among them are priority and discounts on the purchase of tickets for all matches at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano; the possibility of requesting seats for meetings away from home; discounts in stores; discounts on Atleti Tour and Museum; access to events under preferential conditions or free access to Academy matches, among others.
