A state of labor conflict has been declared at the Tax Administration

The working committees of the Customs and VAT departments, as well as the income tax and real estate tax departments, have declared a state of labor conflict, giving them the right to begin strike sanctions from May 19.

In total, about 4,500 of the department’s 6,000 employees are involved in the conflict.

According to the chairman of the civil servants’ union, Ofir Alkalai, who authorized the declaration of the conflict, this step was the result of unilateral decisions on the part of management affecting the working conditions and rights of department employees.

In particular, we are talking about transfers to other departments, changes in work hours, business trips outside the routine, etc.

In addition, the workers’ committees accuse the management of ignoring the demands of the trade union to eliminate threats to the safety of employees.
