Lavazza Group launches ‘Suspended Museum’, culture becomes accessible and inclusive

“Museums that unite a divided world”, the theme that the International Council of Museums has chosen for the 2026 edition of the anniversary, fits perfectly with the Turin company’s commitment to enhancing diversified experiences that stimulate education, critical reflection and the active sharing of knowledge. From this perspective, the ongoing relationship with the museum world is consolidated, through prolific and multidisciplinary collaboration. Lavazza is constantly committed both to direct support for exhibitions and to support museum institutions that carry out innovative and inclusive projects that respond to specific needs emerging from their target audiences aimed at offering experiences that promote harmony and accessibility

The objective of promoting accessibility, reducing physical and cultural barriers and promoting diversity is also the basis of the ‘IncluVisity’ project, which redefines the museum experience by placing the individual and his cultural enjoyment at the centre. The project was launched in 2023 with the participation of six exhibition organizations in Italy who created visit itineraries dedicated to hospitality and audiences with different accessibility needs (sensory, cognitive, communicative…).

Each museum proposed an experience aimed at satisfying the specific knowledge needs of different audiences. Today there are 13 cultural institutions that join the project, but the network of collaborations is constantly expanding.

“We are proud to have become, thanks to the IncluVisity project, a point of reference for promoting culture as a space for meeting and dialogue. Together with the museums with which we collaborate we are committed to expanding opportunities for participation and offering experiences capable of giving concrete answers to specific needs, expanding the social role of the cultural institute”, declares Francesca Lavazza, Board Member Lavazza Group who adds: “And this year to further strengthen this objective we have proposed, with the patronage of Icom Italia and together with five of the our consolidated partners in Milan, Turin and Venice, the Museo Sospeso initiative, so as to further encourage the cultural enrichment of people”. In 2026 alone, the IncluVisity network saw the participation in Italy of the Pinacoteca di Brera and the Piccolo Teatro in Milan, of Gam (Civic Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art Turin) and of the National Cinema Museum in Turin and in Basel, of the Kunsthalle. Already present in the circuit are well-known museum centers around the world: Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, Muse (Science Museum of Trento), Museo Egizio e Camera (Italian Center for Photography) in Turin, Guggenheim in New York, Palazzo delle Papesse in Siena, Triennale Milan and, of course, the Lavazza Museum in Turin.

The project is constantly looking to the future, with the ambition to attract new partners and further expand its global network. This drive to spread knowledge in an accessible way is intrinsically linked to Lavazza Group’s adherence to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. IncluVisity embodies in particular ‘Goal 4’, on the Quality of Education, and ‘Goal 9’, on Industry, Innovation and inclusive Infrastructure, concretely demonstrating how corporate commitment can translate into a tangible and measurable social impact, helping to build a future in which culture is truly an inclusive heritage.
