3rd league: TSV 1860 Munich is average at best

Due to the regulations, the U21s are not allowed to advance to league four, but the professionals would have had to be promoted to the second Bundesliga. However, Kauczinski didn’t really care about the result in Verl; he had said before the trip that he was “a bit out of steam.” So it was actually the first test match of the summer preparation, with a return to the back four and three players in the starting line-up who came from our own amateurs. The 19-year-old defender Lasse Faßmann must have already learned that you should always keep your arm close to your body in the penalty area, because he caused a hand penalty (36th) that gave Verl the lead through Berkan Taz. The other goals were scored by Oualid Mhamdi (60th) and Julian Stark (78th).

For Sixty, there will be another competitive test match, the Toto Cup final next Saturday at the Würzburger Kickers – the challenge cup may be important for prestige, but both teams are already qualified for the DFB Cup.
