“The gradual transition from a system that ensured a balance of power to an international order characterized by increasing competition and ongoing conflicts, increased uncertainty and brought back the possibility of a high-intensity conflict,” Dandias warned in his speech opening the summit. According to him, “this reality is clearly evident” in areas of conflict and confrontation such as “Ukraine, the South Caucasus, Syria, Yemen, the Sahel and the Middle East”. In addition to the technological equipment, the minister noted that the plan emphasizes the development of the local defense industry to ensure the independent supply chain of the army.
