Samsung presents the first gaming monitor with 6K resolution

The line of gaming monitors from Samsung has been updated with three new Odyssey G8, one of them the first with 6K resolutionwith which it seeks to establish “a new standard for high-performance gaming.”

The technology company has presented three new monitors from the high-performance Odyssey G8 line and the Odyssey G7 model with an OLED screen, which brings this screen technology to a wider audience.

Odyssey G8 incorporates the industry’s first gaming monitor with 6K resolution, as highlighted by Samsung. This is the G80HS model, 32 incheswhich offers a refresh rate of 165Hz and a dual mode that allows reaching 330Hz with 3K resolution.

With this monitor, Samsung improves immersion in video games, while establishing “a new standard for high-performance gaming,” as stated in a statement.

The line is completed with the 27-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HF) model, which allows gaming at 5K and 180Hz and reaches 360Hz in QHD. For its part, Odyssey OLED G8 G80SH, 27 and 32 inches, offers a 4K OLED panel at 240Hz.

with the series Odyssey G7, Samsung extends the OLED screen to more gamers with model G73SH. Specifically, it offers 4K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate on a 32-inch panel, although with dual mode it can reach 330Hz in FHD.

On the other hand, Samsung has also presented the professional monitor ViewFinity S8, that combines resolution and ergonomic design. In this case, the 40-inch S85TH model uses a curved WUHD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and integrates a Thunderbolt 5 port.
