US President Donald Trump has again against Comedian Stephen Colbertwho had presented his late night show on US television for the last time the day before. This time via AI video and the official White House account.
The clip, apparently created using artificial intelligence, shows Trump grabbing the satirist by the collar, throwing him into a garbage can and then doing his very own dance moves.
The White House also posted a “bye-bye” and a waving hand.
Trump also published the clip on the Truth Social platform. It was not clear who the sequences came from.
Late on Thursday evening (US local time), Colbert presented the last edition of his show on US television. Trump had long made it no secret that he didn’t think much of the long-time late-night talker’s show.
After the end he wrote on Truth Social: “You could grab any passerby off the street and he would be better than this total idiot. Thank God he’s finally gone!”.
Last summer, the TV broadcaster CBS surprisingly announced that it would be canceling the show, officially for “purely financial reasons”. Industry insiders suspect that the broadcaster acted out of consideration for Trump, who was repeatedly sharply criticized on the show.
