Social network X will reassign impressions of stolen posts to the original creators

The red social X has begun to identify posts from small creators that have been republished by larger creators without identifying the origin to realign impressions and facilitate monetization for those who are the legitimate authors.

The platform, formerly known as Twitter, has gotten serious with accounts that steal content from other creators to boost visits and monetize it with a new measure that aims to reward those affected.

Specifically, they will automatically identify this type of publications to assign the prints “entirely” to the original creators that they have obtained, with the consequent impact that this has on the distribution of advertising income.

The new measure comes after X identified in the last month that “a number of large accounts that have been programmatically reuploading content from smaller accounts to manipulate the revenue sharing program y avoid credit to the original author“, as explained by the Product Manager at X, Nikita Bier.

When I see people stealing my post with high impressions I kneel down and thank God because I know the money is coming to me.

This action does not prohibit creators from sharing content made by others, but Bier urges them to do so with the tools designed for this, which do correctly cite the author: ‘Share Video’ or ‘Quote’.
