“A golden guy”: an OM supporter dies at age 35 during an amateur football match

Supporters of Olympique de Marseille are in mourning. One of them, Williams Revoux, died suddenly on Sunday while participating in a simple amateur football tournament at the Francis Di Giovanni stadium, in the 7th arrondissement of the city, at the foot of the Notre-Dame de la Garde hill. He was only 35 years old.

According to information from La Provence, William Revoux suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest. Emergency services who quickly arrived on the scene were unable to resuscitate him.

Revoux was a known face in the world of Marseille ultras. He never missed a match of his favorite team at the Stade Vélodrome.

Still according to La Provence, the victim’s mother served as vice-president of the Yankees association for years. A group that William Revoux frequented for a long time before becoming a member of the Fanatics.

Described as “an accomplished sportsman, passionate about bodybuilding and a fan of OM, praised for his kindness” by the Marseille media, he worked as a cleaning agent in the 7th arrondissement of Marseille. “A golden guy, dedicated and always there for others,” cries an ultra comrade quoted by La Provence.
